Coronet Peak’s jam-packed 75th programme boasts a full line up of nostalgic and glamorous events from August 17 to 21, 2022. The festivities kick off with a bang on Wednesday (August 17) – quite literally – with roots & reggae band Katchafire, a night ski party and a cracking fireworks display.

We’re proud of the programme we’ve been able to come up with – it’s going to be an exciting week. It made a lot of sense for us to include a variety of events which will appeal to all ages who claim Coronet Peak as their home mountain. Our goal is to bring our community together to celebrate something we all know and love! See you on the mountain.

Wednesday 17th August: Night Ski Party featuring Katchafire and fireworks. Coronet Peak's 75th celebrations kick off with the roots & reggae phenomenon, Kiwi band Katchafire! The gig is free to attend, however you’ll need a Night Ski pass to hit the snow.

Thursday 18th August: Dash for Cash G.H Mumm Champagne Brunch. The iconic Dash for Cash race makes a return to Coronet Peak. Over at Heidi’s Hut, it's time to indulge in a champagne brunch topped off with a special menu and drinks specials.

Friday 19th August: Retro Theme DayStraight Ski Race & Champagne Long Lunch and Retro Fashion Parade. Dig into your wardrobe for that 90's ski jacket, 80’s fluro one piece or 70's ski outfit and hit the slopes! Prizes and lunchtime fashion parade for best dressed. For our Straight Ski Race, racing will be on an open slalom course down Shirt Front with age group category timing. G.H Mumm will be on the deck with a champagne long-lunch and retro winter fashion show.

Saturday 20th August: 75th Celebration Gala Dinner. A chance to dress up with a ticketed gala event and dinner, where the history of Coronet Peak will be shared through stories, interviews and footage. Entertainment and a boogie on the dancefloor will round out the evening.

Sunday 21st August: Meadow Fresh Dog Derby. An iconic event with a history on the mountain that goes back almost 50 years. A chance to showcase your dog handling skills as you traverse the mountain in either the Country Dog, Townie Dog or Kids division!
